  3. Place the biscuit and butter mixture at the bottom of a springform pan, pressing down well to compact it. Chill in the refrigerator while preparing the filling.
  4. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese with the sugar until smooth and lump-free.
  5. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  6. Add the vanilla extract and mix again.
  7. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the biscuit base in the pan.
  8. Heat the liquid caramel in the microwave or in a saucepan until it’s liquid, and pour it over the cream cheese mixture in a thread-like pattern.
  9. Using a toothpick or fork, gently swirl the caramel to create a marbled effect.
  10. Bake the cheesecake at 180 degrees Celsius for approximately 45 minutes, or until firm in the center.
  11. Allow it to cool completely before removing from the pan and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight.
  12. Before serving, decorate the cheesecake with whipped cream and a little more liquid caramel.
